Who is Sigerson?
Just a guy. Who makes music by himself for himself. I think it's good, or at least has some good and occasionally great parts, though you may disagree.
I use a computer and a cheap electric guitar and an old acoustic guitar that was my dad's and a cheap bass guitar and a nice stage piano and whatever noises I can make with my mouth and hands and objects lying about and also just the noises out in the world, many of which we never really notice and, of course, many, many computerized noises.
I don't have any illusions about my musical chops. I consider myself "not a musician" in the way that Brian Eno is "not a musician". That is, I think I have some wonderful ideas and create some wonderful-sounding things, but I am not going to melt anyone's face in an axe shredfest.
If you do happen to like what I do, I'd love to hear from you. Contact me here.

Why is Sigerson?
That's a pretty big question, isn't it? Why is anything?
If you're wondering why the name Sigerson, well, that's a more manageable topic.
Sigerson is the alias that Sherlock Holmes adopted after he faked his death at Reichenbach Falls.
From "The Empty House", by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle:
"You may have read of the remarkable explorations of a Norwegian named Sigerson, but I am sure that it never occurred to you that you were receiving news of your friend. I then passed through Persia, looked in at Mecca, and paid a short but interesting visit to the Khalifa at Khartoum, the results of which I have communicated to the Foreign Office. Returning to France, I spent some months in a research into the coal-tar derivatives, which I conducted in a laboratory at Montpellier, in the south of France. Having concluded this to my satisfaction and learning that only one of my enemies was now left in London, I was about to return when my movements were hastened by the news of this very remarkable Park Lane Mystery, which not only appealed to me by its own merits, but which seemed to offer some most peculiar personal opportunities."

Where is Sigerson?
Sigerson is here.
I like to hear from people, good or bad.
Unless you're the kind of person who waits till the last minute to merge. Then I'd rather you turn off your computer and take some driving lessons.
Perhaps you're making a film? And you need soundtrack music?
I try to respond to every piece of correspondence which deserves response in the first place. Effusive praise generally expedites the process.
My sounds come from many different sources, and some of them are taken from royalty- and rights-free places. If I am somehow in error over this, please let me know and I'll take care of it immediately.
